## Description

**Key Responsibilities**

- Plans, manages, and evaluates the programs and staff of the rehabilitation department

- Attends facility meetings such as stand-up, Medicare, care planning, and others with approval of Director Operations

- Oversees daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including:

+ Ensuring adequate staffing   + Monitoring admissions   + Assigning new evaluations and screens   + Developing treatment schedules   + Maintaining staff utilization   + Case management   + Completion of screening   + Tracking and documenting MDS assessment periods and data   + Ensuring staff compliance and utilization of automated therapy management tools

- Monitors and assists with personnel compliance standards

- Manages cost and fiscal growth

- Assists in recruitment, hiring, and retention of therapy staff

- Provides new staff training and orientation

- Completes documentation and chart audits

- Identifies program development needs and implements programming

- Promotes positive employee relations

- Sets and implements departmental goals and objectives

**Qualifications**

- Current or eligible Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice

- Prior senior living experience

- PDPM

- Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

- If foreign-trained, degree must be evaluated as equivalent to U.S. entry-level
