## Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer Structures to join our team in Pasig City, National Capital Region (NCR), Philippines.

As a Design Engineer Structures, you will report to the Project Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Structures Manager. Your main activities and responsibilities will include:

- Understanding project briefs and design requirements, raising technical queries and requests for information as needed

- Preparing and self-checking design calculations, structural details, and sketches in accordance with project requirements

- Ensuring designs are correctly interpreted and represented on drawings

- Providing drawings and sketches for own designs and producing sketches for incorporation into drawings by technicians

- Reviewing and incorporating comments from Design Checkers

- Checking and preparing CAD drawings as necessary

- Reviewing shop drawings and performing quality design checks and drawing reviews

- Organizing, drafting, and coordinating technical documents

- Assisting in the duties of the Project Manager and attending meetings as directed

- Drafting correspondence for the Project Manager or communicating directly with the Design Team on day-to-day matters

- Working towards continuous improvement of the team by utilizing standardized calculation systems

- Carrying out site inspections as instructed and undergoing relevant training as directed

- Complying with all role-specific SHEQ obligations and developing the ability to apply safety in design to all projects

- Preparing technical reports on small to medium projects

- Applying legislation, standards, guidelines, and project specifications

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least 4 years of experience in the design of multi-level residential, commercial, and institutional projects

- Experience in the design of both reinforced and post-tensioned concrete and structural steelwork

- Proficiency in design software including RAPT, RAM Concept, Microstran, and ETABS

- Good English communication skills

- Technical competence commensurate with a Design Engineer's role

- Registration as a Civil Engineer with the relevant licensure regulatory board
