## Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join PayPal’s Global Collections Strategy team. In this role, you will develop innovative, data-driven collections tools and strategies, with a primary focus on Venmo BNPL, while supporting other PayPal products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements.

- Drive best practices in data science.

- Ensure data quality and integrity in all processes.

- Mentor and guide junior data scientists.

- Stay updated with the latest trends in data science.

**Requirements:**

- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Strong data science and analytical skills, with the ability to structure and execute complex analyses and build business cases.

- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience working with large and complex datasets.

- Proficiency in Excel, statistical analysis, data visualization, and PowerPoint.

**Nice to Have:**

- Experience developing data-driven strategies, segmentation, experimentation frameworks, or decision tools.

- Ability to use AI and advanced analytics to build reusable solutions for portfolio measurement, A/B testing, strategy optimization, and performance analysis.

- Strong understanding of experimental design, test-and-learn methodologies, and performance measurement.
