## Description

As a Target Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and secure environment for guests and team members.

You will be part of the Assets Protection team, which focuses on providing a secure environment, responding to crisis events, investigating and resolving theft, and educating team members on operational shortage priorities.

Typical responsibilities include:

- Supporting sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members

- Leading a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store

- Responding to and documenting security incidents

- Conducting merchandise recoveries and providing apprehension support

- Preventing theft and shortage by performing receipt checks

- Submitting documentation for incidents

- Utilising the video surveillance system

- Training team members on merchandise protection and audit execution

- Executing shortage action plans

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- At least 18 years of age

- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members

- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks

Physical demands:

- Climbing up and down ladders

- Apprehending subjects in accordance with company policy

- Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely

- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
