## Description

We're looking for a Systems PhD - Software Engineer to join our Database Engine team. As a member of this team, you'll have opportunities to design and implement in many areas that leapfrog existing state-of-the-art systems, including query compilation & optimisation, distributed query execution and scheduling, vectorised engine execution, data security, resource management, transaction coordination, efficient storage structures, and automatic physical data optimisation.

To be successful in this role, you'll need a PhD in databases or systems, a passion for database systems, storage systems, distributed systems, language design, and/or performance optimisation, and be motivated by delivering customer value and impact.

The pay range for this role is $140,000-$180,000 USD, and the total compensation package may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
