## Description

The Senior Director, Tech Partnerships position requires an experienced business development leader and sector expert capable of developing and managing Visa’s key strategic relationships and related programs with major commerce ecosystems, mobile network operator partners, messaging applications, software/hardware providers etc., in the market.

The role has 3 focus areas:

- Strategic Business Development Growth: Cultivate high-impact partnerships with Tech players; build strong ‘hunting’/ business development capabilities to target emerging fintechs / growth opportunities

- Strong Client Engagement: Lead and build new innovative partnerships relationships positioning Visa as the partner of choice for innovation and growth

- Deal Leadership: Orchestrate cross-functional teams to structure, negotiate, and deliver complex deals that deliver client value

Key responsibilities include

- Building and leading the high-performing account management team, overseeing team development, territory mapping and technical delivery, with a focus on cultivating end-to-end solution design capabilities.

- Bringing a structured and programmatic approach to partner business development and relationship management

- Building and leading the execution and management of a deal portfolio to deliver against financial targets agreed/approved in deal negotiation

- Leading the development of proposals by working with various internal stakeholders and negotiating contractual relationships with strategic partners

- Identifying tech partners (payments participants, software providers, hardware providers, specialty service providers etc.) to expand distribution of Visa products.

- Continuously reviewing client and market landscape and recommending, developing, and implementing new and creative approaches that ensure that the client’s business objectives are met as well as growing the Visa business

- Engage and influence technical decision-makers at key clients and leverage exceptional presentation & whiteboarding capabilities to represent Visa in industry forums, deliver technical solution speeches, and collaborate with client product and engineering teams to whiteboard end-to-end solution architectures.

- Collaborate closely with local and global products, engineering, value add service team to align on solution roadmap, coordinate resources and ensure compliance with global technical standards.

The Senior Director, Head of Tech Partnerships, Korea & Mongolia plays a critical role in advancing Visa’s strategy by expanding the company’s reach across fast‑growing technology, fintech and platform ecosystems. As payments innovation in Asia Pacific increasingly originates outside traditional financial institutions, this role ensures Visa remains central to new payment flows, business models and digital experiences. By shaping and executing strategic partnerships at scale, this role helps translate Visa’s capabilities into locally relevant growth opportunities, strengthens Visa’s competitive position, and accelerates long‑term revenue and ecosystem expansion in the market.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
