## Description

This position is responsible for providing project scoping and estimating services in support of the Operating Company's substation physical. The successful candidate will create a safe work environment, apply substation engineering expertise to accurately scope projects, and provide quality cost and duration estimates in a timely fashion.

The ideal candidate will have a BS Engineering or Engineering Technology degree, prior experience in transmission or distribution planning, design, construction, operations, or maintenance, and a working knowledge of operating company processes, procedures, and tools used in the development of transmission substation projects.

Responsibilities include:

- Creating a safe work environment through personal commitment to safety

- Applying substation engineering expertise to accurately scope projects and to provide quality cost and duration estimates in a timely fashion

- Developing detailed project scopes and conceptual design packages used to produce accurate cost estimates and project schedules

- Providing timely and accurate cost estimates to customers

- Serving as the substation physical engineering representative on solution team and site selection committees

- Preparing preliminary designs as required to support the process

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to establish and maintain peer and customer relations across organizational lines, and demonstrate a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
