## Description

Priory Hospital Burgess Hill has an opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse with an active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship to join our team on our PICU - Jupiter ward.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. You will deliver safe, person-centred care, working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and review treatment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating shifts, acting as nurse in charge, supervising and mentoring colleagues and student nurses

- Undertaking ward leadership, bed management or site coordination duties as required

- Promoting a safe environment, managing challenging behaviours appropriately, participating in clinical supervision and reflective practice

- Maintaining mandatory training, competencies and ongoing professional development

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum 6-12 months post registration experience within Mental Health/Learning Disability Nursing with evidence of continued professional development in relevant field

- Experience working on a PICU ward is desirable
