## Description

Join Target as a Store Executive Intern (Store Leadership Intern) in Cookeville, TN, starting Summer 2027.

As a Store Executive Intern, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role (Assistant Store Manager) in a 40-hour/week, hands-on training program.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading a retail team within a Target store

- Developing an understanding of how Target's retail business works

- Identifying and working towards store priorities

- Delivering great guest service

- Learning how to drive guest experience and impact store financial, team, and operational performance

- Working alongside a mentor and learning how they effectively lead their department within the store

- Stepping into leading your mentor's departments

- Spending your days learning to lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide an exceptional experience for guests

You will also have ongoing development conversations, and your development will be a top priority.

**Requirements:**

- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required

- Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our stores in management

- Leadership skills and team-oriented thinking

- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Welcoming and helpful attitude

- Effective communication skills
