### Job Overview

You will be a Staff Applications Engineer - Timing Signoff & Power Integrity at Synopsys, working with customers to enable complex chip designs and drive adoption of PrimeTime and PrimeClosure tools.

### About the Role

As a seasoned engineer with expertise in timing closure, you will work closely with design teams to integrate PrimeTime and PrimeClosure into their flows, run competitive benchmarks, deliver technical training, and troubleshoot complex timing issues.

### Key Responsibilities

- Drive adoption of PrimeTime and PrimeClosure across customer accounts

- Run competitive benchmarks against other STA tools

- Deliver hands-on training sessions and technical workshops to customer engineering teams

- Partner with R&D and product marketing to translate customer pain points into feature requests

- Troubleshoot complex timing issues in customer designs

- Present technical solutions and methodology recommendations to design engineers and engineering management

- Build and maintain technical relationships with key customers

- Enable successful tapeouts at advanced nodes by helping customers close timing on schedules

- Increase PrimeTime and PrimeClosure adoption across your customer base

- Reduce customer time spent fighting timing issues by delivering methodology improvements and best practices

- Feed high-quality customer feedback into R&D, directly influencing which features get prioritized

- Strengthen Synopsys's competitive position by winning benchmarks and proving tool superiority

- Build long-term technical partnerships with customers that lead to renewals, expansions, and references for new business

- Elevate the expertise of customer teams through training and knowledge transfer

### Requirements

- Solid working knowledge of Static Timing Analysis and ECO closure

- Direct experience with at least two chip tapeouts at 16nm or below nodes

- Hands-on proficiency with Synopsys PrimeTime

- Understanding of timing corners, process variation, and signal integrity effects

- Experience with ECO flows using PTECO or PrimeClosure

- BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE with 3+ years

- Familiarity with scripting in TCL or Python is a plus
