## Description

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $21.50 - $23.50, with a full pay range of $21.50 - $36.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including labour markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales growth, and leading a team of consultants. Your goal will be to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience, while prioritising guest service and sales.

Key responsibilities include:

- Consistently delivering guest experience commitments

- Ensuring team members understand and deliver on Target's guest experience commitments

- Providing feedback and coaching to team members

- Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

- Demonstrating a service culture that prioritises the guest service experience

- Leading and demonstrating a culture of executing all best practices

- Developing, coaching, and leading a team of consultants

- Assigning daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns

- Encouraging team members to use available tools to provide personalised recommendations to guests

- Partnering with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met

- Supporting team execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations

- Creating inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organised and merchandised correctly

- Supporting your direct leader in leading assigned department area backroom processes

- Participating in team hiring and onboarding processes

- Leading your team in prioritising the guest experience

- Supporting your direct leader in establishing clear goals and expectations

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Leading and demonstrating a safety culture

- Modelling the execution of physical security processes

- Supporting merchandise protection strategies

- Occasionally assuming store-level leadership on duty responsibilities

- Addressing all store emergency and compliance needs

- Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up

This role requires:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older

- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required

- Ability to lead and hold others accountable

- Effective communication skills

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Access to all areas of the building

- Interpretation of instructions, reports, and information

- Accurate handling of cash register operations

- Climbing up and down ladders

- Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely

- Flexible work schedule and reliable attendance

- Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements

- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
