## Description

We are seeking a Transport Modeler to join our Planning team at WSP in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

As a Transport Modeler, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that seeks to improve transportation mobility through the delivery of travel demand models and data-driven insights.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics and data analysis, and demonstrable experience with computer programming, preferably in Python and/or R.

Key responsibilities include:

- Compiling and analyzing transportation data;

- Undertaking transportation studies, including complex traffic operations studies;

- Conducting traffic impact studies, traffic signal and intersection improvement evaluations, and safety reviews;

- Liaising with team members;

- Preparing technical reports.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline;

- 1-3 years of equivalent work experience;

- Experience with travel demand model design and application, including activity-based models and platforms;

- Proficiency with travel demand modelling software, such as EMME, VISUM, TransCAD, and Cube;

- Experience in meso/microscopic traffic simulations, such as Aimsun, VISSIM, Viswalk, DYNAMEQ, Synchro, Sidra, and HCS;

- Experience with GIS and data visualization front-end development using HTML, CSS, and common web libraries and frameworks.
