## Description

We are seeking a Deputy Head of Clinical Services to join our team at Fitzwilliam Hospital, Thorpe Wood Hospital, and Boston West Hospital. As a Deputy Head of Clinical Services, you will form part of an existing team that oversees services across these locations. You will be committed to excellent patient outcomes and efficient patient pathways, reporting to the Head of Clinical Services.

Responsibilities:

- Support Heads of Department in the day-to-day operational management of clinical services

- Ensure safe, effective delivery in line with best practice

- Lead and embed improvements to patient pathways across specialties

- Provide expert advice to nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams

- Deputise for the Head of Clinical Services when required

Requirements:

- Unrestricted professional clinical registration

- Strong academic and analytical report-writing skills

- Previous experience of line managing clinical departments

- Experience of innovation in clinical practice and policy development

- Experience of completing and developing clinical audit programmes

- Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, make decisions and generate ideas

- Strong understanding of research and development, clinical effectiveness and evidence-based care

- Ability to manage change and challenge poor performance and practice

- Strong conflict-management and interpersonal skills

- Ability to foster a positive culture through compassionate leadership

- Commitment to developing the clinical practice of others

- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
