As a Casualty Field Adjuster, you will investigate and adjust property and casualty claims with little to no supervision.

**Responsibilities**

- Inspect claims and contact involved parties in a timely manner

- Investigate circumstances of claims to determine coverage, cause, and compensable damages/reserves

- Examine insurance policies and records to determine insurance coverage

- Prepare estimates for cost of repair and/or replacement

- Conduct interviews with claimants and witnesses

- Negotiate and settle claims

- Address salvage and subrogation as required

- Maintain client relationships

**Additional Responsibilities**

- Perform other duties as assigned

- Support quality programs

- Travel as required

- Serve as a first responder adjuster for the Accident Response Team

- Handle a hybrid caseload of property and casualty claims

- Investigate liability exposures and determine claim resolution strategies

- Provide timely and accurate claim documentation

- Participate in on-call Accident Response Team coverage

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred

- IIA-AIC designation required

- Appropriate state adjuster license required

- 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products

- Demonstrated commitment to timely reporting

- Strong customer service skills

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Good time management and organisational skills

- Ability to work independently or in a team environment

**Work Environment**

- Physical demands include standing and walking for long periods, kneeling, squatting, bending, working outdoors in various weather conditions, climbing, crawling, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds, and driving up to 4 hours per day
