## Description

The RN Clinical Nurse position is a temporary part-time role that involves providing nursing services to participants in clinical research studies conducted in an ambulatory setting. The successful candidate will provide specialized, professional nursing care to research subjects, manage clinical and research support activities, and ensure patient safety and protocol integrity.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct, individualized care to adult and pediatric research patients

- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion, administer investigational medications, and monitor patients

- Collect and process biological specimens, perform ECGs, and provide health teaching

- Report and record care rendered, patient's response to care, and contribute to continuous quality improvement programs

Requirements:

- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina

- Demonstrated clinical experience as a registered nurse with strong clinical judgment or assessment skills

- Previous experience providing direct patient care in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting

- Demonstrated experience administering medications, including biotherapy or investigational medications

- Demonstrated proficiency in intravenous (IV) access or phlebotomy
