## Description

We are seeking a proactive and focused Veterinary Surgeon to join our Animal Healthcare Team on a part-time basis, working 15 hours a week on Saturdays and Sundays.

Your main responsibilities will include clinical diagnosis and post-mortem examinations of animals, as well as assisting with disease prevention, zoo licensing, wild bird care, and conservation animal health activities.

The successful candidate will have a veterinary degree, experience working in a busy veterinary environment with exotic species, and conducting post-mortem examinations. Specialist knowledge of avian pathology and biology is desirable.

As a Veterinary Surgeon at WWT, you will be part of a team delivering comprehensive animal health cover throughout the year, based at Slimbridge Wetland Centre, and remotely overseeing other WWT Zoos.
