We are seeking a Research Scientist II, Gene R&D to join our team in Piscataway, NJ.

As a Research Scientist II, Gene R&D, you will develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods, manage project timelines, and analyze data.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods

- Manage project timeline and leverage internal resources

- Generate, analyze, interpret, and present data to the broader team

- Communicate with other teams for smooth tech transfer

Requirements:

- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related fields

- > 2 years of experience in developing scalable NGS workflows in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries

- Experience with Illumina and ONT platforms

- Broad molecular biology and microbiology knowledge

- Hands-on experience with bioinformatics pipelines

- Proficiency in Python, R, or Java

- Experience with biological datasets and file formats
