## Description

We're seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Manufacturing Automation team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and managing controls systems for manufacturing, architecting and writing PLC code, generating and enforcing internal standards for control systems architectures, and integrating internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.

You will also lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures, install, configure, and tune servo drives/VFDs, and partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field, and 8+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment. You should be proficient in PLC programming on both Rockwell and Siemens platforms, Ignition SCADA development, and servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS, etc.

Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment, experience with control panel layout, electrical component selection, and cable routing, and familiarity with CAD packages including Solidworks, NX, CATIA, and AutoCAD.
