## Description

The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI.

We are hiring a Universal Preschool Lead Teacher (GSRP) to ensure early childhood students receive world-class instruction in a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate passion for and expertise of early childhood content

- Provide world-class instruction in math, literacy, social studies, and science to early childhood students

- Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction

- Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions

- Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment

- Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission

Credentialing Qualifications:

- A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or Pk-3 endorsement;

- A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with early childhood students

- Previous teaching experience in an urban setting

- Training in CRPBIS, HighScope, other related instructional methodologies

- Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
