## Description

We are seeking an On-Call Meals on Wheels Driver to deliver hot, ready-to-eat meals to homebound seniors and local senior centers in the MAG service area.

The hourly wage for this position is $17.51. Work hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but flexibility is needed as this position is for back-up coverage. Weekly hours can vary between 0 and 25.

Responsibilities:

- Drive the Meals on Wheels truck to deliver hot meals to senior centers, volunteer drop sites, and individual residences on a predetermined route.

- Load the delivery vehicle with hot meals and other items for delivery.

- Maintain records and make reports related to job responsibilities.

- Work cooperatively with the meal delivery team and Meals on Wheels office staff.

- Keep assigned vehicles clean and orderly, and report required preventative maintenance needs.

- Operate vehicles in a defensive and safe manner, abiding by all state, county, and local traffic laws.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team.

- Experience driving a Ford F150 truck with limited visibility.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Experience working with senior clientele.

- Knowledge of locating residential and commercial addresses.

- Ability to walk distances between delivery vehicle and drop-off locations.

- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

- High school graduation or equivalent.

- One year of work experience demonstrating job-related skills.

- Must have or be able to obtain a Utah County Food Handlers Permit.
