### Role Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to join our team and build the core digital infrastructure for a next-generation energy company. You will work closely with product to engineer backend infrastructure that is second-to-none.

### Responsibilities

- Construct a real-time digital twin of our renewable generation and customer demand

- Develop messaging interfaces with our third-party providers

- Build high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption

- Build the backend of a world-class energy app

### Requirements

- Demonstrable excellence as a Software Engineer

- Ideally 2+ years experience

- Proven ability to define and build complex systems

- Hands-on experience shipping highly-available production systems

- Clear communication

### Bonus

- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS CDK)

- Experience in the Energy sector

- Experience shipping consumer-facing products
