## Description

We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Birches Grove, a residential care home in Parkend, Forest of Dean.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents with learning disabilities or mental health needs to live healthy, happy, and independent lives.

## Key Responsibilities

You will be part of a dedicated team who are committed to providing personalised care and support to our residents.

- Ensure that residents' personal needs and requirements are met, including personal care, participation in activities, and support with daily living tasks.

- Complete daily administration tasks, such as updating care plans, charts, and daily notes.

- Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents, their families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

- Contribute to maintaining safety, security, and confidentiality standards.

## Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or related area, or equivalent or higher recognised qualification.

- GCSE or NVQ2 in English and Maths.

- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, some of whom may have challenging behaviour or use alternative communication methods.

- Experience of working in a related environment is desirable.
