## Description

Honda has a clear vision for the future, and it's a joyful one. We are looking for individuals with the skills, courage, persistence, and dreams that will help us reach our future-focused goals.

As a member of the Simulation Group, the FEA Simulation Engineer will be responsible for preparing, executing, and analyzing finite element analysis (FEA) simulations to support engineering development and business decision-making. This role collaborates closely with engineering teams to validate designs, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement through simulation and data analysis.

## Key Accountabilities

- **Simulation Development & Execution**: Develop, set up, and execute FEA simulations using company-standard tools and processes. Support structural, thermal, and system-level analyses to evaluate component and system performance.

- **Results Analysis & Reporting**: Interpret simulation results and identify key findings, trends, and recommendations. Prepare clear, concise reports and technical summaries for engineering and management teams.

- **Automation & Process Improvement**: Develop scripts, macros, and automated workflows to improve simulation efficiency, repeatability, and data management. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the simulation environment.

- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work closely with design, test, and development engineers to define simulation requirements and validate results. Collaborate with internal teams to support product development and problem-solving efforts.

- **Correlation & Validation**: Develop an understanding of testing methodologies, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems used to validate simulation models. Support simulation-to-test correlation activities to improve model accuracy and confidence.

- **Technical Communication**: Prepare and deliver technical presentations for project reviews, design evaluations, and engineering discussions. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

## Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials.

- Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar engineering tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

**Preferred**

- Experience with Dassault Systems Abaqus and CATIA.

- Knowledge of finite element modeling, meshing techniques, and simulation best practices.

- Understanding of internal combustion engines, hybrid, and electric powertrain systems.

- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DoE), optimization methodologies, and statistical analysis techniques.
