## Description

As a Kitchen Assistant at ibis Betim, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.

**Your responsibilities:**

- Assist with pre-preparation and preparation of food, including washing, cleaning, cutting, and organising ingredients.

- Support pastry production (sweets, cakes, etc.) when required.

- Check food validity and proper storage.

- Help set up and replenish buffets, coffee breaks, and staff meals, focusing on presentation.

- Participate in area control and team briefings.

- Maintain personal hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness according to regulations.

- Represent our brand values and contribute to guest experience personalisation.

- Adhere to sustainable practices, such as selective waste collection and conscious water and energy use.

**Requirements:**

- Basic education (equivalent to GCSEs).

- Basic knowledge of cooking and food safety best practices.

- Experience in the sector.

**Desirable qualifications:**

- Secondary education (A-levels or equivalent).

- Basic knowledge of cooking.

- Basic English proficiency.

- 5x2 shift pattern.

- Working hours: 14:00-22:10 or 06:00-14:20.
