As a Software Engineer at Stripe, you will be part of a team that is rethinking how financial services should work. You will work on building solutions without clear precedent and solving problems with far-reaching consequences.

Responsibilities:

- Build solutions that impact millions of businesses

- Work on problems that have never been tackled before

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features

- Learn unfamiliar systems and form an understanding of those systems

- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, team members, and other Stripes

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a directly related field

- No more than 18 months of professional experience (excluding internship experience)

- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go

- Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects

- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and form an understanding of those systems

- Clear written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Specialized knowledge in frontend, backend, infrastructure, or other technologies

- Experience in code review practices

- Familiarity with navigating and managing work in large code bases

- Experience leading small projects independently

- Ability to operate with high agency in navigating complex technical obstacles
