## Description

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Custodian at Columbus Arts & Technology Academy in Columbus, Ohio to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the school building.

Responsibilities:

- Keep the school grounds safe, secure, and clean at all times

- Perform all routine cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance for the school

- Remove trash

- Clean and wipe down surfaces

- Change light bulbs

- Vacuum and mop floors

- Clean windows and disinfect restrooms

- Assist with cleaning the food service area

- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs

- Maintain the external appearance of the building

- Perform snow removal activities

- Buff and wax floors

- Prepare the school for special events

- Ensure school ground electronic security systems are working properly

- Inform School Leader of any damage or wear and tear to school property

- Willingly accept training and apply learned skills

- Properly maintain all school tools, supplies, and machinery

- Report to the school on extraordinary event days

- Contribute to a positive climate and culture

Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks

- Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

- Ability to use outdoor and indoor cleaning equipment

- Ability to report to work outside of school opening hours

- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability

- Knowledge of cleaning up and disposal of hazardous materials

- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
