## Description

At Adyen, you will be part of the Merchant Operations Department as a CDD Risk Analyst, focusing on Event Driven Reviews (EDRs). You will play a critical frontline role in safeguarding the platform while ensuring minimal operational friction for legitimate business growth.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive investigations on merchants triggered by automated monitoring, adverse media, or commercial escalations.

- Evaluate whether existing merchants remain within Adyen's Risk Appetite Framework.

- Dissect complex corporate structures to uncover the root causes of risk triggers.

- Formulate and execute decisive risk actions.

- Act as a strategic bridge between First and Second Lines of Defense.

- Continuously evolve and maintain EDR standards.

- Articulate nuanced risk decisions to senior internal leadership, scheme representatives, regulators, and merchant executive teams.

Requirements:

- 4-6 years of experience in Merchant Risk, Underwriting, Risk Appetite Assessment, or Complex Investigations.

- Comprehensive understanding of the global payments value chain.

- Proven track record in evaluating non-financial crime risks.

- High comfort level operating in grey areas with a proven willingness to make and defend difficult decisions.

- Strong data literacy and skilled at leveraging transaction datasets.

- A self-starter with high ownership who thrives in an international, matrixed environment.

Benefits:

- Annual base salary range: $85,000 - $110,000.
