## Description

At Cisco's Data Center Business Unit, we're dedicated to driving innovation in networking technologies, focusing on developing groundbreaking Ethernet Switching products for modern network infrastructures, including AI, cloud computing, and enterprise environments.

You will design and develop distributed system software for Ethernet switch products in areas such as L2/L3/VXLAN, develop SDKs and switching software for next-generation network ASICs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring developed products to market.

You'll interact and innovate with distinguished and principal engineers, focusing on scale, performance, and reliability.

**Responsibilities:**

- Design and develop distributed system software for Ethernet switch products in areas such as L2/L3/VXLAN

- Develop SDKs and switching software for next-generation feature-rich network ASICs

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, ASIC, marketing, and testing groups

- Interact and innovate with distinguished and principal engineers, focusing on scale, performance, and reliability

**Requirements:**

- Typically requires a BSEE/CS degree combined with 4+ years of related experience

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with network programming and protocols

- Strong working knowledge of networking technologies such as L2/L3/VXLAN/MPLS/ACL/QOS

- Proven understanding of operating systems and distributed systems

- Hands-on experience in switch/router software development

- Prior experience in developing SDKs for custom/merchant ASICs is a strong plus

- Solid experience in ACL or QOS or L2 or L3 or any networking protocol
