## Description

As a Software Engineer at Ford, you will design, develop, and implement scalable front-end and back-end microservices architecture to support the company's business requirements.

## Responsibilities

- Provide technical support throughout the software development lifecycle as part of a software engineering team.

- Analyse, design, develop, and implement high-quality testable code that meets business requirements while adhering to industry best practices and standards.

- Engineer reusable complex distributed systems and collaborate with enterprise Ford IT teams to ensure the platform is highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant.

- Review technical designs and provide Ford-specific support to system integrators.

- Deliver engineering design and system information flow documentation supporting functional work streams.

- Work with product owners to identify project business value and associated metrics.

- Drive and challenge product owners on their assumptions and prioritizations of business value.

- Collaborate with system integrators, Ford IT, and Business teams to meet enterprise objectives.

## Qualifications

### Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field of study with a minimum of 5 years of IT experience.

- 2+ years of experience developing data pipelines and services using Python and supporting libraries.

- 2+ years of experience developing React-based front-end applications.

- 2+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation integration with security and compliance tools like 42Crunch, Sonarqube, FOSSA or equivalent.

- 1+ year of experience implementing TDD or BDD practices for unit and system-based integration validation.

- 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (GCP or AWS).

- 1+ year of experience developing NRT integrations with upstream, downstream integrations (pub/sub, Kafka, file etc.).

- 1+ year of experience working with database tools and technologies like PostgreSQL, CloudSQL or MongoDB.

- 1+ year of experience with the development of CI/CD pipelines using Tekton or Jenkins.

### Preferred Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

- 1+ year of experience with the development, deployment, and monitoring of applications on GCP native stack.

- 1+ year of experience creating data pipelines using Python for agentic data needs.

- 1+ year of experience using integrated AI tools to deliver code and remove toil through automation.

- 2+ years of experience developing scalable, stateless, and secured RESTFUL services using Java and Spring framework.

- 2+ years of domain and technical expertise with large-scale eCommerce implementations.

- GCP, Java, AI certifications.
