## Description

Datadog's Cloud FinOps team plays a critical role in answering the business question of what each product and customer costs to serve. As the Engineering Manager for this team, you will own delivery across the runtime pipeline, coverage onboarding, and cost-to-customer identity mapping. Your primary focus will be on ensuring reproducibility, where every dollar of cloud cost is accurately placed against the product and customer that caused it.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and growing a team of engineers building the platform that allocates Datadog's cloud cost to products and customers

- Owning the publication contract with Finance, ensuring versioned metrics with effective dates, backfill, and reproducible history

- Developing metric contracts with platform teams across Engineering to shift cost facts to the teams that generate the cost

- Partnering with Revenue Engineering on the cost-to-revenue identity join

- Driving continuous improvement in product and customer cost coverage and accuracy

- Reducing key-person risk on runtime and compiler architecture by spreading ownership across the team

The ideal candidate will have experience managing data platform or data engineering teams, shipping versioned publication with effective dates, and holding delivery commitments with teams outside their reporting line. Domain experience in metering, usage-based billing, cloud cost, revenue data, or financial data platforms is highly valued.
