## Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a US Bank Regulatory Legal Director to join our Global Legal Team. This is a permanent role, based in New York.

The role involves ensuring that financial services regulation activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and helping the bank manage legal and regulatory risks associated with these activities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing best practice legal strategies for risk management and compliance

- Providing legal advice and support to the business on regulatory affairs

- Reviewing relevant legislation and regulation and creating and reviewing legal documents

- Conducting legal research and analysis to stay up to date on changes in laws and regulations

- Developing and delivering training programmes to educate employees on applicable legal and regulatory requirements

As a Director on the U.S. Bank Regulatory Legal team, you will provide legal advice and strategic support on bank regulatory matters and other areas of team coverage, working alongside seasoned regulatory and corporate attorneys and senior stakeholders across the Americas.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- 8+ years of legal experience, including significant experience advising on bank regulatory matters and engaging with banking regulators

- Strong expertise in U.S. bank regulatory prudential requirements

- Extensive experience assessing legal and regulatory risk in time-sensitive, high-profile, and sensitive situations

- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional regulatory initiatives and driving outcomes through influence

- Proven track record of independently managing complex domestic and cross-border regulatory matters end-to-end

- Deep understanding of governance, risk management, and control frameworks within large banking organizations

- Presence, maturity, and credibility to engage effectively with senior management, regulators, external counsel, and other key stakeholders on significant legal and regulatory matters

- A New York law license

Salary range: $270,000 - $330,000 per year.
