## Description

Okta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop platform surfaces for developers and AI agents to interact with Auth0.

This role involves designing and building APIs, MCP tools, and CLI integrations that cater to both developers and agents.

Key responsibilities:

- Design and build developer-facing platform surfaces

- Own technical direction for key platform surfaces

- Drive cross-cutting technical decisions

- Collaborate with tech leads across teams

- Bring developer empathy to all shipped products

Requirements:

- 7+ years of software engineering experience

- Strong Node.js fundamentals; Go a plus

- Experience designing and shipping APIs or developer-facing surfaces at scale

- Comfort with ambiguous problems

- Familiarity with agentic tooling, MCP, or LLM-facing API design

- Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and architecture

The annual base salary range for this position in Canada is between $160,000-$220,000 CAD.
