## Description

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team at Ubisoft Paris.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI-powered gameplay features.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the technical feasibility of gameplay systems based on AI

- Identifying relevant algorithms and adapting them for production use

- Implementing evaluation processes

- Deploying algorithms on internal or external clouds in a robust and scalable manner

- Collaborating with project engineers to ensure best practices in development and MLOps

- Implementing techniques from research papers in an innovation/R&D context

Requirements:

- Significant experience as a Machine Learning Engineer with Generative AI models in production

- In-depth knowledge of NLP algorithms such as SentenceBERT, Llama 2, Mistral, or Qwen 3, and ability to fine-tune them

- Proficiency in Python and TensorFlow or PyTorch

- Experience with Docker

- Passion for video games

- Excellent communication and listening skills

- Autonomy and curiosity

- Fluency in English

Preferred qualifications:

- Knowledge of C++, C#, or Rust

- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering

- Familiarity with model optimisation techniques such as quantization and LoRA

- Affinity with role-playing games or narrative-driven games
