## Description

GovTech is the lead agency driving Singapore's Smart Nation initiatives and public sector digital transformation.

As a Senior Software Engineer with the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, you will play a part in building a unified and adaptive digital ecosystem that seamlessly connects exam administration, electronic examinations, and marking.

Responsibilities:

- Write clear, unambiguous technical specifications that serve as effective context for junior engineers and AI-tools

- Design and deliver features that span services or components, considering modularity, scalability, and resiliency

- Incorporate security, compliance, and performance as design constraints from the outset

- Author technical design documents for moderately complex features and conduct architecture reviews, providing actionable feedback

- Lead incident triage and debugging for production issues, drive post-incident reviews with concrete root cause analysis and preventive actions

Requirements:

- Deep experience in React 18+ with TypeScript in large-scale SPA applications

- Deep experience with Redux or equivalent state management

- Experience in OIDC / OAuth 2.0 client-side flows - token handling, session management, CSRF protection

- Experience migrating frameworks (e.g. AngularJS to React) using patterns such as strangler or incremental rewrites

- Experience in API integration patterns - REST consumption, caching strategies, error/loading state handling

Good to Have:

- Experience with AngularJS in production-grade systems

- Experience in component library development and design-system-based approaches

- Experience in E2E and component testing - Cypress/Playwright, React Testing Library

- Experience in Government / regulated industries - compliance-driven development, national identity system integrations
