## Description

Working as a Human Resources Expert at Target means being part of a team that champions change, proactively removes roadblocks, and builds diverse and inclusive talent strategies. You will help deliver on the company's guest-centric mission and provide support to teams and leaders.

The role involves creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience, greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues. You will also actively support team efforts, adjust to business and guest needs, and work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs.

As a Human Resources Expert, you will be responsible for:

- Leading focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates

- Supporting team member and leader training needs and advocating for continuous learning

- Being an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices

- Delivering on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption

- Supporting your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Working in a safe manner at all times and reporting hazards

To succeed in this role, you should have:

- A welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

- The ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed

- Effective communication skills

- The ability to work both independently and with a team

- The ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

- Attention to detail and the ability to follow multi-step processes

- The capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

In terms of physical demands, the role requires:

- Accurately handling cash register operations as needed

- Frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds

- Being capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements

- Remaining mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

- A flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
