This role is all about professional relationship management and delivering top-tier financial advice to Public Sector entities (Municipalities, Universities and Colleges, School Boards, Hospitals, etc.), where a specialized approach aligns sales, products, risk policy, and market strategies to deliver solutions specific for this industry’s needs.

In this role, your highly-developed experience with financial analysis, cash management, investments, credit, and client acquisition takes centre stage. Your finely honed solution-development skills, combined with your innate business acumen, portfolio management expertise, and knack for client service, sets the stage for success.

**Responsibilities**

- Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice

- Develop your needs-based sales strategy for all clients and prospects in order to grow revenue, deepen client relationships and achieve a high standard of client loyalty

- Demonstrate portfolio management and risk mitigation through the review of financial statements identifying trends, monitoring risk, and assessing for credit restructuring

- Leverage sales enabling tools, including sales planning, prospecting, and pre-call planning tools

- Collaborate and coordinate with the internal subject matter specialists to develop and execute a client contact strategy

- Leverage the expertise of RBC by identifying referral opportunities, making introductions together with appropriate referrals to RBC partners

**Requirements**

- Minimum 3-5 years commercial banking experience

- Proven track record in business development and exceptional client relationship management

- Passion for providing quality advice and fulfilling client needs

- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Credit skills including assessment of risk and financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions and presenting the deal

- Specialized industry expertise in a past role (e.g., public sector)

- Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web based meetings, social media, Digital Banking and Mobile Applications)

**Nice-to-have**

- Entrepreneurial attitude and self-motivation to achieve above average results

- Experience with responding to Requests for Proposals and negotiating Banking Contracts.

- University degree, ideally in commerce, business administration, or related experience

- Continuous learner with a deep curiosity for understanding his/her diverse customers and is up-to-date with changes in client needs, procedures, and relevant products

- Bilingual (French/English)
