## Description

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and advancing existing and emerging technologies to support Honda's business and manufacturing objectives.

The Infrastructure Administrator will partner across technical and business teams to identify opportunities, develop concepts, lead proof of technology and proof of concept activities, and recommend scalable infrastructure and automation solutions that improve quality, efficiency, flexibility, and organisational competitiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

- Researching and evaluating new technologies to support business and manufacturing objectives

- Developing conceptual and working prototype solutions, leading proofs of concept, and working with architecture and product teams to deliver solutions

- Partnering with various IT teams to develop concepts, strategies, and design and implement systems that maximise the value of IT to the business

- Assisting with software and hardware selection, including buy/build analysis, vendor evaluations, and integration strategies

- Managing current AMP hardware and resources

- Developing technical documentation and reports based on research activity and PoT/PoC results

- Collaborating with business groups and technical communities

- Working with outside technology and automotive services suppliers to remain current on trends and capabilities

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Data Science, Networking, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field

- At least 5 years of IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, automation, or related experience

- Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure and cloud-based solutions

- Experience with AWS cloud services, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure automation

- Working knowledge of VMware, OpenShift, Proxmox, Kubernetes, SAN technologies, networking, and enterprise infrastructure platforms

- Experience integrating manufacturing, supply chain, and business systems using APIs and modern data exchange methods

- Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools such as Git, GitHub, AWS CDK, and VS Code
