## Description

Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company with the mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems.

You will own the design responsibility of a new battery pack, from concept through production, driving optimal performance while managing size, weight, manufacturing, and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

- Hands-on prototyping, testing, qualification, and handoff to production

- Defining requirements, specifications, assembly drawings, and 2D drawings

- Root cause analysis of failures and production problems

- Leading a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture

- Providing mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership

- Working in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

- 5+ years of experience

- Strong technical fundamentals in mechanics, thermal design, and electronics

- Proven experience designing and delivering a battery product to market

- Proficiency in CAD modeling

- Experience with various manufacturing processes

The salary for this position ranges from USD 187,000 to 281,000 per year. As a full-time regular employee, you will be offered a package including pay within the range listed + bonus + benefits + equity.
