## Description

## Job Overview

You will build simulation environments to support mission analysis for large satellite constellations. These environments enable testing of constellation software and real hardware on the ground before launch. Your work will inform engineering and program decisions, requiring speed, accuracy, and reliability.

## Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain simulation environments for large constellation mission analysis.

- Create hardware-in-the-loop rigs with real hardware and software-in-the-loop environments integrated into automated test and release pipelines.

- Model relevant physics such as orbital dynamics, sensors, actuators, thermal behavior, and RF links, validating models against test and flight data.

- Analyze simulation results to inform trade studies, requirements, and design recommendations.

- Collaborate with partners and suppliers to integrate their models and hardware, ensuring fidelity and resolving discrepancies.

## Requirements

- Proven experience delivering software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop systems with real hardware.

- Strong physics and modeling judgment with the ability to defend simplifications.

- Experience with production-grade software in large codebases, using Python and at least one of Rust or modern C++.

- Ability to architect environments for both fast batch runs and full-fidelity validation.

- Confidence working across organizational boundaries and communicating technical details to non-specialists.

## Nice to Have

- Optimization background with design-space exploration, Monte Carlo analysis, or trajectory optimization.

- Exposure to space domain with orbit propagation, attitude dynamics, or ground station models.

- Familiarity with distributed simulation standards like HLA, DIS, or FMI.

- Experience in adjacent dynamic domains such as automotive, robotics, or autonomous systems.

## Benefits

- Competitive salary and VSOP options

- Relocation support: up to €2,500 and 4 weeks temporary accommodation

- Learning: €500/£450 yearly allowance

- Health & wellness: gym membership and mental health support (Nilo.health)

- Social: regular company events and monthly social allowances

- Enhanced parental leave: 22 weeks fully paid for primary caregivers & 6 weeks for secondary caregivers

- Family support: 5 days of paid family emergency leave, 100% remote work option during pregnancy and phased return to work
