## Description

We are seeking a Bank Porter to join our team at Spire Cheshire Hospital in Warrington.

As a Bank Porter, you will provide an efficient, professional, and courteous portering service throughout the hospital.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Safely transferring, transporting, and guiding patients around the hospital

- Supporting patients in a caring, sympathetic, and professional manner

- Helping to maintain the safety of patients, visitors, colleagues, and consultants

- Collecting and delivering clean and used linen throughout the hospital

- Supporting the safe collection and disposal of domestic and clinical waste

- Assisting with the general security of the hospital and its grounds

- Reporting any security concerns promptly to the appropriate member of the Senior Management Team

- Reporting maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department using the Pirana system

- Undertaking courier and driving duties as required

- Transporting equipment, supplies, and other items safely between hospital departments

- Responding promptly and professionally to requests from clinical and non-clinical colleagues

- Supporting the wider hospital team with additional duties when required

We are looking for someone with:

- A full, clean driving licence

- Previous experience of delivering frontline customer service

- Experience of working in a similar customer-facing, portering, or facilities environment

- Good communication and organisational skills

- Excellent customer care skills

- A caring, patient, and sympathetic manner

- The ability to work independently and without direct supervision

- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider hospital team

- A reliable and flexible approach to work

- The ability to undertake a physically active role

- The flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends

- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality, safety, and professionalism in a healthcare environment
