## Description

We are seeking a transitioning military service member or military spouse to join our team as an unpaid intern. As an intern, you will partner with a team to support members, projects, and goals affecting outcomes. You will work with professionals from various fields, including healthcare, HR, and IT.

**Responsibilities:**

- Act as an apprentice while completing formal education or immediately following graduation

- Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards

- Prioritize and manage tasks with minimal direction

- Follow standard policies and practices

**Requirements:**

- Be a transitioning military service member or military spouse eligible to participate in the DOW SkillBridge or Military Spouse Fellowship programs

- Reside in the state of South Carolina

- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

- Proficiency in healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Previous Medicare/Medicaid experience

- Knowledge of payer policies, insurance companies, and government health programs

- Interest in working in the healthcare industry

**Work Arrangements:**

- Remote work arrangement available

- Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required

- Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps required

- Dedicated workspace with minimal interruptions required to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
