## Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Session Replay team. The team is building a new Grafana Cloud product that helps customers understand what users experienced when something went wrong.

The Senior Software Engineer will operate as a technical leader and systems thinker, driving both product direction and architectural evolution. Responsibilities include:

- Owning end-to-end technical direction for Session Replay, spanning frontend, backend, and data systems

- Driving the evolution of the backend architecture, including designing systems around columnar/analytical data storage for large-scale session data

- Leading the design of investigation workflows, connecting replay with logs, metrics, traces, and other telemetry across Grafana Cloud

- Making high-leverage architectural decisions that impact multiple teams and products

- Partnering with teams across Grafana to build cohesive cross-product experiences

- Engaging directly with customers to gather structured feedback and help them instrument and adopt Session Replay successfully

- Improving engineering standards, patterns, and operational practices within the team

- Mentoring engineers and helping grow technical leadership within the team

The team uses a range of technologies, including Go, TypeScript, React, columnar/analytical data storage, object storage, and MySQL.

In terms of compensation, the base range for this role in Canada is CAD 164,490 - CAD 197,389. The company offers Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) to give team members ownership in Grafana Labs' success.
