## Description

Databricks is looking for an experienced commercial attorney to join its Commercial Legal team, focusing on supporting its Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) sales teams.

The ideal candidate will work side-by-side with Sales to lead negotiations, shape deal strategy, and address issues that matter most to regulated customers, including HIPAA and data privacy, AI terms, and security requirements.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead complex commercial transactions from first engagement through signature

- Negotiate healthcare-specific agreements and provisions

- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Security, Privacy, Product, and other stakeholders to resolve issues

- Advise on issues that arise in enterprise technology transactions with regulated customers

- Help improve templates, playbooks, and contracting processes

- Leverage AI tools to work more efficiently

- Provide concise, practical legal advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives

Requirements:

- 7+ years of relevant technology transactions experience

- Significant experience drafting, negotiating, and closing complex sell-side software, SaaS, and cloud transactions

- Experience supporting customers in healthcare, life sciences, or other heavily regulated industries

- Strong familiarity with issues that commonly arise in commercial technology deals

- Experience advising on AI-related contract terms and emerging technology issues

- Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated negotiations and exercise sound judgment

The pay range for this role is: Zone 1: $219,800-$302,300 USD Zone 2: $197,800-$272,050 USD Zone 3: $186,900-$256,950 USD
