## Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused Assistant IT Manager to lead our Software Applications team. The successful candidate will provide delivery and technical leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and overseeing multiple projects, including business transformation initiatives.

The Assistant IT Manager will be responsible for:

- Providing strategic leadership, presenting IT strategy and updates to executives and senior leadership

- Managing and mentoring a team of functional and technical members

- Ensuring projects, enhancements, and support follow IT methodologies

- Serving as a Solutions Architect on multiple projects, leading the technical workstream and partnering with other architects

- Providing governance and oversight for all team activities, defining and implementing IT policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, IT, Management Information Systems, etc.)

- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology/Information Services

- 5+ years of supervisory, resource management, and vendor management experience

- Strong project management skills, with experience managing large/multiple projects, platforms, and products

- Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

We offer a salary range of $121,100.00 - $151,300.00.

- Lead the Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Finance Planning applications IT team

- Work with the Unit Manager to provide input for the direction and vision of AHM IT

- Communicate direction, vision, and strategies to the team

### Build and Maintain High Performing IT Teams

- Ensure the team is motivated, engaged, and inspired to achieve goals

### Achieve Project Goals

- Deliver projects on schedule, budget, and quality commitments

- Provide consultation to the business and customers

- Design technical solutions and provide technical architecture oversight

- Lead the business and technical workstream in critical projects

### Promote IT and Its Capabilities

- Build relationships and network to achieve trust and credibility

- Use persuasion and influence to achieve maximum results

## Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

### Minimum Education Requirement

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

- Master's degree preferred

### Minimum Work Experience

- 8+ years in Information Technology/Information Services

- 5+ years supervisory, resource management, vendor management experience

### Skills

- Strong project management skills

- Experience managing teams with differing priorities and levels of expertise

- Strong written and presentation skills

- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

- Working experience with estimation, planning, developing, and managing a budget

- People management, team building, coaching, mentoring, development, negotiations, conflict resolution, and strong interpersonal skills

## Workstyle

- This is an onsite job with one remote workday per week possible with prior departmental approval
