## Description

Faculty is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to deliver bespoke AI solutions for clients. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will contribute to scalable software architecture, define best practices, and work with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery of high-quality ML systems.

The Public Services Business Unit focuses on leveraging AI for the benefit of citizens and public good. You may need to be eligible for UK Security Clearance and work on-site with clients occasionally.

Responsibilities:

- Build and deploy production-grade ML software, tools, and infrastructure

- Create reusable, scalable solutions to accelerate ML system delivery

- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and commercial leads to solve client challenges

- Lead technical scoping and architectural decisions

- Define and implement standards for deploying machine learning at scale

- Act as a technical advisor to customers and partners

Requirements:

- Understand the full machine learning lifecycle and have experience operationalising models built with frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

- Strong Python skills and experience in software engineering best practices

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Experience with container and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

- Comfortable with core ML concepts, including probability, statistics, and common learning techniques

- Excellent communication skills
