## Description

The Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) organization at Workday sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and customer execution. As a Forward Deployed Engineer on the Developer Platform FDE team, you'll combine hands-on agent engineering with direct customer work. You'll work with the full Workday Developer Platform stack, building production agents with Developer Agent, Agent-Ready Tools, and the Agent Harness.

Responsibilities:

- Build, configure, test, and debug custom AI agents and agentic apps inside live enterprise tenants

- Participate in technical discovery sessions with customer stakeholders and help translate business requirements into product configurations

- Be a hands-on user of Developer Agent, Agent-Ready Tools, and the Agent Harness, documenting bugs and friction points

- Spot recurring deployment challenges and contribute fixes, reusable components, and documentation

- Work with FDEs across Workday's other agent areas to deliver complete agentic systems

- Own defined technical workstreams within customer engagements and help guide them through structured milestones

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Software Development

- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or agentic systems

- Hands-on coding and debugging skills

- Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders on technical deployments

- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites as needed

Benefits:

- Annualized base salary ranges: $148,000 - $222,000 USD (primary location) and $123,900 - $222,000 USD (additional US locations)
