## Description

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to develop, communicate, and implement waste-related environmental programs. You will evaluate environmental data, ensure regulatory compliance for various company business units and facilities, and provide recommendations to minimise environmental risks.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations

- Identify, classify, and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste

- Coordinate waste disposal activities with approved vendors and treatment facilities

- Evaluate waste streams to determine proper handling and disposal methods

- Maintain waste profiles, manifests, and tracking records

- Monitor waste generation trends and identify opportunities for reduction

- Inspect waste accumulation areas for compliance and safety

- Train employees in waste handling procedures and environmental requirements

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field

- Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance or environmental management experience

- Knowledge of environmental regulations such as RCRA, TSCA, EPCRA, CERCLA, SARA, Georgia Hazardous Waste Management Act, OSHA environmental requirements, DOT, and SPCC

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
