## Description

We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team at Advocate Health in Mequon. The successful candidate will have a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy and a licence to practise in the state. The salary range for this position is $44.15 - $66.25 per hour.

**Job Summary** As a Physical Therapist, you will interpret physician referrals and complete musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary evaluations. You will establish a plan of care and implement individual treatment based on evaluation results, functional goals, and utilise appropriate techniques. You will also monitor and evaluate outcomes, adjust the treatment plan as needed, and provide status updates to physicians and other teammates.

**Responsibilities**

- Interpret physician referrals and complete evaluations

- Establish a plan of care and implement individual treatment

- Monitor and evaluate outcomes and adjust the treatment plan as needed

- Provide status updates to physicians and other teammates

- Identify factors affecting patient comfort and attend to these needs

- Recognise potential issues and advocate for patients as needed

- Plan for and complete patient discharge, including providing written home programs and patient/family teaching

- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve optimum care

- Complete all required documentation and maintain productivity standards

- Serve as a clinical resource for the department and system

- Participate in performance improvement activities and manage assigned caseload

- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and reading professional literature

**Requirements**

- Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school

- Licence to practise as a Physical Therapist in the state

- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification

- 5 years of experience in physical therapy, with 7 years preferred

- Strong computer skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to be flexible and problem-solve, making frequent independent decisions

**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**

- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and up to 10 lbs. from waist to overhead

- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
