## Description

We are seeking patient-focused Nurses with excellent transferable skills who can demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering and maintaining high standards of care to patients on our wards.

The successful candidate will be registered with the NMC and have a minimum of 6 months post-registration NHS experience within a general/acute hospital setting or the equivalent in a nursing home.

**Main duties of the job:**

- Practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other appropriate guidelines.

- Adhere to the Trust admission and discharge policies and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care, and the implementation and evaluation of these to promote best practice for assigned patients.

- Use phlebotomy and cannulation skills on a daily basis if competent to do so.

- Liaise with medical staff, allied departments, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team on the condition of patients and their treatment.

- Observe confidentiality of patient information at all times and comply with the Data Protection Act (1984).

- Take an active role in establishing and maintaining effective communication with all disciplines, patients, and relatives.

- Support and assist the Ward Manager in the establishment of a good working environment and in making the most effective and efficient use of staff, supplies, and services.
