## Description

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (Substation) Intern to work out of its Overland Park, KS office as part of its Summer Internship Program.

As an intern, you will support various engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills, learn basic Electrical Engineering principles, and assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting engineering tasks to develop technical skills

- Learning basic Electrical Engineering principles

- Assisting with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis

- Supporting preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates

- Collecting and maintaining project documentation

- Completing training on assigned tasks

- Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later

- Aged 18 or older

- Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering or a related field

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools

- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adhering to WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

- Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications include prior internship experience and leadership involvement on campus.

The internship is a 12-week program starting on May 17th, 2027, with a flexible start date.
